Property Manager
Job Description:
The Property Manager (PM) is responsible for leasing, financial and managerial functions at a mid-sized 10-20 floor building overseas. The site is a Class A mixed use office/retail space with underground parking and exterior custom designed landscaped features.
Successful candidates will have substantive, practical and diverse experience in all facets of corporate and residential property management. The PM should be comfortable in: Effectively managing staff vendors and tenants; supervising financial, budgetary and contractual transactions tied to leasing and operations and maintenance (O&M); Executing marketing advertising and real estate tasks to sustain and improve occupancy, proactively leverage tenant/staff dynamics, mitigate risk and manage emergencies on the owner’s behalf.
Experience working in high-rise, multi-use buildings in major metropolitan areas or large-footprint mixed-use complexes is preferred. Professional or academic background in finance, marketing, contracts, real estate, property law, design, construction management, or building engineer work a plus. Experience managing staff, vendors and tenants is critical. Professional education, licenses and certifications should be commensurate with experience level and demonstrate increasing responsibility and expertise. Will also consider experienced Property Managers with residential and retail experience.
Candidates should be self-starters who are comfortable working in dynamic, fluid environments and who can prioritize changing requirements. Demonstrated discretion, good judgement and independent problem-solving are absolutes. Superior written and verbal skills are required. Familiarity with architectural drawings/CAD, engineering specs, project management software and budgeting programs is a plus.
Candidates should be willing to travel internationally (North Africa, Middle East, Southern Europe) and have the ability to accept an international relocation (2 -3 years). Previous experience and comfort working with foreign nationals, navigating cultural differences and using translation are helpful.
